The Electric Monk was a labour-saving device, like a dishwasher or a video recorder. Dishwashers washed tedious dishes for you, thus saving you the bother of washing them yourself, video recorders watched tedious television for you, thus saving you the bother of looking at it yourself; Electric Monks believed things for you, thus saving you what was becoming an increasingly onerous task, that of believing all the things the world expected you to believe.

Unfortunately, this Electric Monk had developed a fault, and had started to believe all kinds of things, more or less at random. It was even beginning to believe things they’d have difficulty believing in Salt Lake City.

🧘🏻 Inhale, Exhale

— Existential breathwork mantra.

⚡ „Download, Deny.“

— Breathes in knowledge, breathes out… uncomfortable refusal. Classic Monk behavior.

🌀 „Accept. Abandon.“

— The rhythm of belief and disbelief. The Monk takes on ideas like coats, then leaves them on philosophical park benches.

🔄 „Sync. Surrender.“

— For the tech-mystic who still insists on Wi-Fi-enabled enlightenment.

🧘 „Reboot. Refrain.“

— Inner peace through forced restart. It’s the silence after the crash.

🔋 „Charge. Doubt.“

— The Electric Monk’s eternal dilemma. Fully powered, totally untrusting.

🌌 „Believe. Discard.“

— Like a spiritual Roomba that picks up faith, then dumps it into the void.

✨ „Process. Release.“

— Beautifully ambiguous. Could be spiritual, computational, digestive. Which, honestly, is perfect.
